- Day 1: Tata vadya (Chordophones- String instruments)
- Day 2: Avanaddha vadya (Membranophones-Percussion instruments)
- Day 3: Sushira and Ghana Vadya (Aero and Idiophones- Wind and struck instruments)
Our journey for describing each category of musical instruments begins from the instruments depicted in the prehistoric Bhimbetka cave paintings to the seals of Indus valley Civilization; the railing fragments of the Stupas of Amaravati, Bharut and Sanchi, the cave paintings on Ajanta and Bagh; the cave sculptures of Badami, Ellora, Mandapeshwar; the Rajput and Mughal miniature paintings, the vintage photographs of Indian Musicians during colonial era.
We hope to engage music enthusiasts, researchers, music novice, historians, archeologists, academicians alike.
